Young people who are interested in the workings of the theater – not just
acting, but set building, set decoration, and the myriad aspects of
putting on a full production are invited to participate in a Summer
Workshop at Footlighters Theater.
Director Pat Adeff will be using her original script, Has anyone Seen My
Script? as the basis for the workshop. Pat has had many years of
experience in writing, directing and teaching drama in southern
California.
Appealing to young people ages 8 to 19, the opportunity to
be involved in a real live theater experience is open to all for a $39.50
tuition fee. Kids with special talents that can be incorporated into the
story line (a school talent show) are especially encouraged to sign up.
Auditions will be held May 24 and 25 at the theater, with workshop
starting on May 31. While school is in session, rehearsals will be held
in the afternoon; with school over, a full rehearsal schedule will
commence.
Students will proudly display their creative efforts by presenting the
play to the public on July 8, 9, 10 and 11.
