The audition workshop will be held in a three part round robin format where the group will be split into three segments and each segment will spend an hour in each of three areas. The areas are, vocal presentation, basic audition dance and audition etiquette /script reading All three areas will be covered on each Saturday, so participants will only need to attend one Saturday session.

  • Practice audition song with live pianist
  • Basic dance steps taught
  • Learn theatre etiquette and cold script reading

INLAND VALLEY REPERTORY THEATRE (IVRT) presents Actor Workshops for the New Year!

Two workshops will be offered on Monday nights for performers of all skill level to participate. Jan. 11, 18, & 25 from 7:30-9:00PM a Musical Theatre Audition Workshop with be offered. The workshop will include scene work, musical auditioning skills and dance routine auditions.  An Acting Workshop will take place Feb. 1, 8 & 15 from 7:30-9:00PM and will focus on scene work, monologues and cold readings for auditions. Inland Stage Offers Preview of Theatrical Conservatory in December

The Inland Stage Company offers introductory sessions of the Theatrical Conservatory during the month of December, featuring everything from technical theatre to Shakespearean acting workshops.

“It has always been part of our mission to offer a conservatory, and now that we can offer these classes at the Esplanade Arts Center pretty much year round, we can really offer an exciting program,” said Artistic Director Jim Marbury. “The arts build better communities, and Inland Stage Company is dedicated to improving the lives of the members of community. MRT Looking for Talented Teachers

Murrieta Repertory Theatre is looking for instructors for their new Youth Conservatory featured at the Perris Community Center. Fall classes, beginning Sept. 14, include a kindergarten through sixth grade puppetry workshop, a mask workshop for middle school students and a new actor workshop for high school students.

The program will continue to expand, but at the moment the company is in need of a puppetry teacher for the k-6 group.

Join the Musical Theater Camp The 12 Dancing Princesses as we celebrate the excitement of live theater!

In the Musical Theater Camp kids (ages 6 and up) will discover the magic of the theater in the areas of acting, dancing, singing, backstage work, costumes, scenery, prop making, theater make-up and more!

Camp will meet Monday through Friday starting July 20 through July 24, from 9am – 2pm. Classes will be held at Heartland Players Theater in Yucipa. The Campers will perform The 12 Dancing Princesses on Friday, July 24, 2009, at 1pm.

Tuition for every child’s 25 hour involvement is $200.00. Space in the camp is limited!

Attend this intense professional acting laboratory for the serious actor! Sharpen your acting skills AND creative instincts by participating in acting exercises that will stretch your limits. We will work on monologue presentation, cold reading, classical technique and scene study based upon Viola Spolin, Konstantin Stanislavski, Sanford Meisner, Peter Brook and Jerzy Grotowski and a variety of workshop techniques.

Workshop is conducted by Murrieta Repertory’s Artistic Director and awarding winning director/actor Jim Marbury and staff.  Each workshop session is $10 or buy three in advance for $25, with some scholarships available

Chino Community Children’s theatre is having an audition workshop the week preceeding Cinderella auditions.

Get ready for auditions! This workshop is for first timers and for those who want to brush up on skills. The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the theatre, 13123 Seventh Street in Chino. The cost is  $20 for each child, $16 for additional family members, ages five to 15. Bring a light snack.
