Auditions: Sherlock Holmes and The Death of Sherlock Holmes at LifeHouse Theater

Open auditions for LifeHouse Theater’s Sherlock Holmes and The Death of Sherlock Holmes, both directed by Nathan Smith, will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at LifeHouse Theater, 1135 N. Church Street, Redlands. Those cast will be a part of both.

Auditions will be held on a first come-first served basis. All are welcome and roles are open for men and women. Men are especially encouraged to audition. Those auditioning should be at least ten years of age. Auditioners should bring any theatrical resume they may have and a recent photo to leave with the audition panel. Those without a photo may have a picture taken at the auditions for a $2 fee.

Auditioners should be prepared to perform a dramatic monologue of at least one minute in length.

“Sherlock Holmes” opens Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 7:30 PM and performs weekends through January 21, 2018. “The Death of Sherlock Holmes” opens on January 27, 2018 and performs weekends through February 11, 2018. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:15 PM (except Opening Nights) and 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:15 PM.

Based on the classic detective series of stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, these mystery adventures introduce some of literature’s most memorable characters on stage. These dramatic productions weave together suspense, intrigue and humor. In “Sherlock Holmes,” the famed detective meets his new friend, John Watson and begin their battle against crime together. In “The Death of Sherlock Holmes,” the detective becomes entangled within a deadly scheme orchestrated by his archenemy, Professor Moriarty — the “Napoleon of Crime.”
