In 2010 Shakespeare in the Vines proudly celebrates their 5th Anniversary Season, Marriage, Murder and Madness!, with Macbeth:  Shakespeare’s attempt at the horror play.

Macbeth is a blast of ghoulish, beguiling, sardonic theatrical terror. His classic tale of witches, vaulting ambition, and self-inflicted insanity is tipped on its side in the spirit of a modern supernatural horror film. Spy on the Macbeths and Banquo as they battle for control of fate and the spectral forces that push them toward the struggle for power, leading them all to their respective ends.”  Macbeth runs September 3 through September 11.  Directed by Justin Girard.

All performances are at Frangipani Estate Winery where the wine bar opens at 6:00 and performances begin at dusk.  Season tickets are available in addition to group discounts for 10 or more.  For more information, visit our website at http://www.shakespeareinthevines.org/, or call 951-240-2565.

He has brought with him the charming but dumb ex-chorus girl, Billie Dawn.  Lacking in social graces, she agrees to be educated by an idealistic magazine reporter, Paul Verrall, who has been investigating political skullduggery and is interested in Brock’s activities.  As Billie begins to learn about history, politics, and what Harry really is, she rebels against being merely a tool in Brock’s crooked schemes to defraud the public.
