Auditions: The Koroneburg Old World Festival

The Koroneburg Old World Festival is currently seeking several performers to portray historical and non-historical theme characters. This is for our 7 weekend event that runs every weekend from May 8th to June 20th including Memorial Day. Due to budget restrictions the compensation is limited, but the experience is unforgettable. The roles are 99% improvisation.
We will be holding auditions March 27th at 12:00 pm at Crossroads Riverview Park the home of our permanent renaissance village in Corona CA. We are looking for outgoing individuals who love audience interaction. All applicants must be 18 and over.

Below is a list of the Characters we are seeking. We will also consider other characters that fit into the theme of our event.
Historical Characters:
- Johannes Kepler – a German mathematician, astronomer and astrologer
- Michel de Nostredame or Nostradamus – one of the world’s most famous authors of prophecies
- Johannes Gutenberg – a German goldsmith and printer who is credited with being the first European to use movable type printing
- Desiderius Erasmus – a Dutch Renaissance humanist and a Catholic priest and theologian.
- Martin Luther – was a German theologian and a major leader of the Protestant Reformation
- Lucrezia Borgia – Duchess of Ferrara, earned a reputation as a political schemer in fifteenth century Italy. She was beautiful, evil, corrupt and deadly.
- Leonardo da Vinci – an Italian polymath: painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, botanist and writer. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance man, a man whose unquenchable curiosity was equaled only by his powers of invention.
- Albrecht Dürer – Led the way to a new art perspective of the world with his realistic drawings of animals
- Anton Fugger – During the 15th and 16th centuries the Fuggers developed their great wealth through world-wide enterprises in banking, trading, and mining
Non-historical characters:
- The Dairy Queen – Older funny bawdy beauty queen
- Milk Maids of Misrule – The Dairy Queen’s court
- The Unter Baron – The Baron of Koroneburg’s very serious business partner. He is in charge of all of the Baron’s fields and fills in for him when he is otherwise occupied
- Deputies – 2 very keystone cop type of sherrif deputies.
- Tax Collector – is always looking for what else he can tax. Don’t sit still near him for very long or you may lose your shirt!
