Boy meets girl, both meet God in Willing Hearts: A Courtship Comedy, the new one act play by Rebecca Williams and Gabriel Morales, co-founders of Twin Pierrot, a local film and theatre production company dedicated to creating inspirational, faith-based entertainment.

Twin Pierrot’s “Willing Hearts: A Courtship Comedy” premieres as a reader’s theatre production Friday, February 26 at 8 pm, at the Mission Galleria in Riverside.

Tickets are $5, which includes a complimentary dessert during a Q&A session to follow. For more information or to reserve/purchase tickets, visit http://www.twinpierrot.com/.

The Mission Galleria is located at 3700 Main Street, on the corner of Main and Mission Inn Ave, directly across the street from the Mission Inn’s main entrance.

Jason’s ill-timed marriage proposal to Abigail raises questions about their love and future plans, in this quirky comedic offering. Told from various characters’ perspectives (also played by Jay and Abby), the action is comprised of a series of brief scenes that explore the couple’s awkward introduction, burgeoning love and personal conflicts.

“With ‘Hearts,’ we are seeking to redefine the Christian comedy, by showing flawed, true-to-modern-life characters struggling to make sense of their relationship and beliefs,” says Gabriel Morales, a thespian and filmmaker with experience ranging from Hollywood to the Inland theatre community. “Twin Pierrot’s mission, with this and all of our projects, is to present realistic, impactful theatre and film works that stir people to excellence through self-realization,” explains the play’s star, Rebecca Williams, a published author and versatile actress.

With this their first live theatre production, Twin Pierrot has had a busy year. Besides writing/producing “Hearts” and a companion devotional book, they finalized “Jim & Della,” a short film based on O. Henry’s “Gift of the Magi,” and began pre-production on a feature length film project. Williams adds, “We have worked very hard, and have been blessed every step of the way with opportunities and enthusiastic support.”
