The Redlands Shakespeare Festival will conduct auditions for its sixth annual season 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Joslyn Senior Center, 21 Grant St., Redlands. The 2010 Season of Remembrance will feature productions of Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Hamlet.  All roles are open except the title role in Hamlet.

“We are very excited about our sixth annual season bringing back the three most popular productions from our first five years,” said Steven Sabel, founding artistic director.

Festival directors will seek to cast a repertory company of 45-50 actors. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the scripts of the three plays to be produced this season. Rehearsals will begin March 1. Performances will be conducted Thursday through Sunday evenings, May 13-30, at the Redlands Bowl outdoor amphitheater.

“It is going to be a great season for actors and audiences alike,” Sabel said.

Presenting sponsors of the festival include the Redlands Cultural Arts Commission and County of San Bernardino, with contributions from A Storage Place Redlands, Alta Vista Credit Union, Arsenault Consulting, Paul Barich and Associates, Good Nite Inn, McIntyre Law Group, and Studio 33 Productions.
