IVRT presents Actor Workshops
INLAND VALLEY REPERTORY THEATRE (IVRT) presents Actor Workshops for the New Year!
Two workshops will be offered on Monday nights for performers of all skill level to participate. Jan. 11, 18, & 25 from 7:30-9:00PM a Musical Theatre Audition Workshop with be offered. The workshop will include scene work, musical auditioning skills and dance routine auditions. An Acting Workshop will take place Feb. 1, 8 & 15 from 7:30-9:00PM and will focus on scene work, monologues and cold readings for auditions. Workshops will take place at the Foothill Country Day School Auditorium in Claremont, 1035 W. Harrison. Each work shop is $30 or you can sign up for both at $50.
IVRT was founded in 1990 by La Verne residents Frank and Donna Marie Minano, with the goal of providing high quality theatrical productions in the community. During its first six seasons, IVRT stayed true to its mission and its emphasis on professional quality performances, and is the recipient of the prestigious Rancho Cucamonga Community Foundation’s Primavera Award for outstanding contributions to the arts, and their production of the MOST HAPPY FELLA was named the Pick of the Week in the Inland Empire Weekly.
Workshops Instructors Include:
TERRE GUNKEL, IVRT Associate Artistic Director and director of IVRT’s 2010 plays. Terre is co-founder and former Producing Artistic Director of Vanguard Theatre Ensemble of Fullerton. He is a graduate of the University of Redlands, and received his Master’s Degree from California State University, Fullerton in Theatre Arts (directing and acting emphasis). As a director Terre has directed more than 70 different plays at various locations.
FRANK MINANO, IVRT Producing Artistic Director and director of IVRT’s 2010 musical. Frank is co-founder of Inland Valley Repertory Theatre. He is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, and South Coast Repertory Theatre’s Professional Conservatory.
DAVE OSBORN, Music Director for IVRT’s 2010 musical. Dave is the sound designer for Candlelight Pavilion and retired from Citrus College where he served as Sound Designer, Music Arranger for Citrus Singers.
JEFF TEAGUE, Choreographer for IVRT’s 2010 musical. Jeff is the former Artistic Director Alameda Civic Light Opera where he won numerous awards for his productions, that include RAGTIME, SWEENEY TODD, HAIR and KISS ME KATE, to name a few.
