Its Christmas time and you are all invited to be the studio audience for Candy Cane’s annual broadcast of “A Christmas Carol”. This year’s production promises to be the best yet; that is until the station owners decided to give Candy and her radio show the axe. Can Candy Can, with the help of her friends Santa and Mrs. Claus, Henderson P. Hatchford the puppet man with a thousand voices, Ursula the Swedish Usherette, and an odd assortment of other characters save this broadcast and this station?
A Candlelight Christmas is laugh-filled holiday romp with wonderful songs, toys, elves and a version of “A Christmas Carol” you won’t soon forget. Also back this year is the chance to have your own Christmas memories read on the air, your child’s letter to Santa read by the Big Man himself, and a picture opportunity with the Clauses at the conclusion of the show.
Direction and Musical Direction are both created and developed under Doug Austin, current director of Ctirus Singers at Citrus College in Glendora, CA. Having produced numerous holiday productions at both the Candlelight Pavilion and Citrus College, Austin looks forward to another year of magic and merriment.
Candlelight Pavilion cast members include fresh new faces along with many memorable ones. Back on the Pavilion stage this holiday season are actors Janice Lee (Mama), Jamie Snyder (Papa), Beth Mendoza (Candy Cane), Adam Trent (Henderson P. Hatchford), Jamie Johnson (Ursula), Christopher Van Etten and John Lalonde (Mr. Petifogg), Jessica Bernard (Vivian), and Jeremy Bernard (Brian). The ensemble is comprised of performers Jillian Gomez, Marius Beltran, Deborah Fauerbach and Mark Velarde.
