Sepember will feature the return of one of LifeHouse Theater’s most popular original musicals.  Noah and the Ark is a fun, zany but ultimately reverent and inspirational new take on the familiar biblical story.  A smash hit when it was first performed at LifeHouse Theater, critics and audiences alike praised the contemporary music, comedy and symbolic staging of this timeless account of the flood story.

Performances begin Friday, September 11, 2009 at 7:30 PM and will continue on weekends through September 20, 2009.  Performances are Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:15 PM and 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:15 PM.  In addition to the weekend performances, there will be a special Thursday performance on September 17, 2009 at 7:30 PM.  The 7:30pm performance on Saturday, August 29 will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf.

Advance ticket prices are $12 or $18 for adults and $6 or $9 for children ages 3-11 (no children under 3 are admitted) and can be purchased over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling 335-3037, ext. 21.  Checks can also be mailed to LifeHouse, provided reservations are made far enough in advance.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends.  Tickets are $1 more the day of the performance.  Group rates are available for groups of ten or more.  Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as most performances usually sell out.

Noah and the Ark is written by Dustin Ceithamer, an award-winning Inland Empire stage talent currently featured in San Diego in the production of Cats.  “The story of Noah and the challenges he faces with his family has always held a special place in my heart,” commented Ceithamer.  “My hope is that the story will touch audiences in the powerful way it has uplifted me and those of us performing on stage.”

Noah is directed by Sarah Ayotte, who will also be one of the performers in the production. Choreography is by Jason James with lighting and sound by Randy Hodges and Daniel Milligan.

Joining Ayotte on stage as performers are seven other cast storytellers from all over the Inland Empire.  The ensemble features Tim Mahoney, Jeremy Yeo, Shane Litchfield, Chris Daub, Hannah Jeanette Ayotte, JulieAnn Thomazin, and Emily Lopez who all humorously portray a variety of roles.

Money saving season passes are on sale now at the box office.  The theater is located at 1135 N. Church St. in Redlands, next to the Redlands Christian School.  Free parking is available in back of the theater.  More information can be found by visiting the website at www.lifehousetheater.com.
