A Standardized Patient is a person who has been trained to accurately and consistently portray a medical patient and participate in a simulated office visit where student doctors ask questions and/or conduct a basic physical exam.
Open to all ages, ethnicities and genders
Hours vary: Monday through Friday
Rate of pay: $15-$25 per hour
Hiring occurs on a job-to-job basis

- Reliable with flexible schedule
- Ability to simulate given symptoms, emotional states or personality traits
- Comfortable with basic physical exam techniques
- Fast learner
- Good observation skills
- Ability to stay objective
- Good memory and recall ability
- Access to a computer w/internet and aptitude to use it
- Directability
