A Standardized Patient is a person who has been trained to accurately and consistently portray a medical patient and participate in a simulated office visit where student doctors ask questions and/or conduct a basic physical exam.

Open to all ages, ethnicities and genders
Hours vary: Monday through Friday
Rate of pay: $15-$25 per hour
Hiring occurs on a job-to-job basis
(Based on demographics, availability and skill level)

  • Reliable with flexible schedule
  • Ability to simulate given symptoms, emotional states or personality traits
  • Comfortable with basic physical exam techniques
  • Fast learner
  • Good observation skills
  • Ability to stay objective
  • Good memory and recall ability
  • Access to a computer w/internet and aptitude to use it
  • Directability
