Chino Community Theatre offers a Weekender Series production with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Wit, by Margaret Edson, directed by Tom Hurst.
Vivian Bearing is a college professor whose life takes a turn when she is diagnosed with metastatic Stage IV ovarian cancer. As she suffers through the various side effects of treatment, she attempts to put everything in perspective.
Toward the end, Vivian realizes that kindness is something she should have exhibited to more people. In her time of greatest need, she learns that human compassion was of more profound importance than intellectual wit.
All performances are at Seventh Street Theatre in Chino, 13123 Seventh Street. Performances are at 8 p.m. June 19, 20, 26 and 27 and at 2:30 p.m. June 21. Ticket cost is $15 general admission or $12 for students or seniors.
