On January 9, The Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater kicks off the new year with Beehive:The 60s Musical. A high-energy musical revue celebrating the talents of female artists such as Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, The Chiffons and The Supremes.

The original stage presentation of Beehive was first presented in 1985 and ran for over 18 months Off-Broadway at the Village Gate Theatre in New York City. In 1988, Maverick Productions acquired the rights to direct and produce Beehive in Denver. The Denver production ran for 69-weeks and then toured nationally for 20-weeks including 13-weeks at Harrah’s Marina Hotel in Atlantic City.

The Candlelight Pavilion is proud to announce it’s work with Jubel Obien, the director and choreographer of the show.  “It’s such a fun show,” Obien shares, “and I can’t wait to see the audience singing and clapping along with these talented performers.”  New York Times rated this upbeat musical as “pure and irresistable fun” and People Magazine said it’s “a rafter raising musical” which can’t be missed.

Beehive: The 60s Musical will be accompanied by a gourmet dinner offering the patrons choices between steak, chicken, fish and vegetarian entrees. Beehive will run January 9 through February 15, 2009. Performances will include evening shows Thursdays through Sundays with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays. Ticket prices range from $48-$75 and include dinner and the show. For more information or for reservations call (909) 626-1254 or visit the Candlelight Pavilion Box Office 455 W.
