Rialto Community Players will hold auditions for Ray Cooney and Michael Cooney’s Tom, Dick and Harry, directed by Kerry Jones, on Tuesday, November 11 and Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.

Auditions will be held at the Rialto Community Playhouse located at 150 East San Bernardino Avenue in Rialto.  The production will run January 17 through February, 2009.

Production Synopsis

In this hilarious story of three brothers, Tom and his wife are about to adopt a baby. His brothers are anxious to help make a good impression on the woman from the agency who had arrived to check on the lifestyle of the prospective parents. Unfortunately everything goes awry because of the brothers so called “help” complicated by the appearance of illegal Croation aliens who do not speak English – it makes the audience wonder if everything will work out for poor Tom with all these escapades.

• Tom Kerwood – A likeable Londoner in his late 20s-30s 
• Linda Kerwood – His wife, bright and sparky, late 20s-30s 
• Dick Kerwood – Tom’s brother, a loveable rogue, 20s-30s 
• Harry Kerwood – Tom’s brother, a genius and yet at the same time, stupid, 20s-30s 
• Katerina* – a Kosovan peasant immigrant, confident, 20s-30s 
• Andreas* – an elderly, shabby Kosovan immigrant, stooped and weather-beaten. Physical role that can be played by a younger actor. 
• Constable Downs – police officer, 40s-60s 
• Mrs. Potter – adoption agency lady, formidable, 40s-60s 
• Boris – a smartly dressed Eastern European, 40s-50s

*In the play, Katerina and Andreas speak only Albanian, simple phrases which are spelled out phonetically in the script.
