Riverside Community Players will hold auditions for Anna in the Tropics, written by Nilo Cruz and directed by Kathryn Gage, November 10th & 11th at 7:00pm. The show runs January 23 – February 8, 2009.
Winner of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize! A poignant and poetic play set in Florida in 1929 in a Cuban-American cigar factory, where cigars are still rolled by hand and “lectors” are employed to educate and entertain the workers. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read aloud from “Anna Karinina,” he unwittingly becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the topics, and the American dream prove a volatile combination.
Looking for:

3 women – ages 20 – 50 yrs
**All characters are from Cuba**
(We welcome and encourage Spanish speaking auditioners)
