Redlands Footlighters will hold auditions for Helen’s Most Favorite Day, a light romantic comedy with ‘fantasy’ overtones, on September 15 and 16 at 7:00 pm.  Auditions will be held at the Footlighters theater, located at 1810 Barton Road in Redlands.

The lead character, Helen, is given a magical wish which she uses to relive her most favorite day— with tragic results. She becomes stuck in the past and her friends and family must work together to bring her back. The story shifts from past to present to future, with actors playing different versions of the characters in different times.

Seeking actors (with exception of Bolivia) who are able to ‘play’ the same age, contemporary with each other, from mid-30’s to early 50’s. Bolivia is distinctly older, roughly 60-70.

• Helen:  pragmatic math teacher, sharp wit, warm heart
• Ruta: Helen’s younger sister, bright, impulsive, chatty
• Jed: fairground carnie, sincere and charming
• Lily: fairground mystic, sarcastic, larger than life
• Herman: Ruta’s would-be boyfriend, nerdy, nervous
• Bolivia: Herman’s overbearing mother, talkative, annoying
