Back by popular demand, Triple Threat Productions presents Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers Friday, September 5th, at 8pm and Sunday, September 7th, at 5pm. This production just played to six sold out houses at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater Mercantile Building and will be showing for one final weekend at the beginning of September at the Frangipani Winery in Temecula.
This is a phenomenal production filled with this areas most talented performers, and is not to be missed. One of Neil Simon’s most beloved plays, Lost in Yonkers is a crowd pleaser to audiences of all ages.
Yonkers tells the story of a family man who borrows money from a loan shark to provide for his dying wife who passes on. He is then forced to leave his two boys with his mother during World War II in Yonkers, New York. The boys learn to live with Grandma and their looney Aunt Bella, they also get a surprise visit from their gangster Uncle Louie. At the end of the play the boys have learned a lot about life and love living with Grandma and their father has paid off his debt. They decide that they will miss Grandma’s house and Aunt Bella but are happy to be back with their father. The show runs a little over two hours with intermission.
