Shakespeare in the Vines will present Romeo and Juliet, directed by Paul Kehler, August 15-23 at Wien’s Family Cellars Winery, located at 35055 Via Del Ponte in Temecula.

This is not your Elizabethan Romeo and Juliet. This is a sexy, explosive and intense new version of the most tragic love story of all time. The Capulets and Montagues are rival nightclub owners in a twentieth century city of decay and lurid wealth. The war of these families, which ultimately leads to the destruction of what they love most, is as familiar and frightening as the local evening news. It is a vibrant, rhythmic, and triumphant retelling of this most treasured tale of woe.

Due to mature subject matter, parental discretion is advised.
