Murrieta Repertory Theatre (”The Rep”), the critically-acclaimed and award-winning theatre company, is currently looking for actors/actresses for its upcoming world-premier of a new original play - A Breakfast of One Acts.  Producer/Director Coley O’Brien McAvoy will be heading up the project, and is holding open auditions for all roles.

Auditions will be held at the Murrieta Community Center, 41810 Juniper Street in Murrieta, on Saturday, June 28, from 12pm to 3pm, and on Monday, June 30, from 7pm to 9pm.

A Breakfast of One Acts is an original new comedy written by local playwright Thomas Trerise, in it’s premier production, directed by 17-time ITL Award winning actor/director Coley O’Brien McAvoy.  The show features three unique one act plays, all tied around a common breakfast item.

MUFFIN – A touching and hysterical vignette about a middle-aged couple coming to terms with age, marriage, and the “empty nest” they now share.

COFFEE – When a mysterious figure enters a local coffee shop, looking for someone willing to kill his wife, a chain reaction of events ensues.

NEWSPAPER – A city park becomes the scene for free couples counseling, given by the unlikeliest of sources.

Roles Open:
Two middle-aged women (40’s – 60’s)
Two young women (20’s – 30’s)
Three young men (20’s – 30’s)
Three middle-aged men (40’s – 60’s)

All experience levels welcome.  Candidates should be versatile, dedicated, and willing to work as part of a group.

Prepare a 1 minute monologue in any style, cold readings, and improvised scene work.  Resumes preferred (not mandatory); headshots are optional.  Casting will be announced Monday, Jun 30.

Performances:
Show runs weekends, August 1 - 17, at the Murrieta Community Center on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.  and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.  Cast will also receive 2 comps each for the run of the show.
