The City of Rancho Cucamonga is seeking theatrical professionals, especially scenic designers/builders and stage managers, for the community theatre series.
The Rancho Cucamonga Community Theatre began in 2001 with a summer production of the hit musical Annie. Since that time, the series has grown to include five Main Stage plays including the extremely popular annual summer family musical. An estimated 10,000 patrons attend shows annually.
The Rancho Cucamonga Community Theatre has welcomed such local area talents as John LaLonde, Frank and Donna Marie Minano, Howard Wilson, Michael Naffziger, Barbara Hinrichsen, Melanie Alpert, Don Cloud, Jean-Yves Tessier, John Nowak, Randy Hodges, Mark Gamez, Rhonda Rubio, Barbara Durost, and David Lamoureaux to the Lewis Family Playhouse stage making it one of the most popular and sought after experiences in the Inland Empire theatre both onstage and off.
As the company continues this exciting growth and prepares to unveil the 2008-2009 season, the City seeks to expand the pool of artistic contractors. Theatrical professionals with scenic design build and stage manager experiences are especially sought, but resumes from all local area professionals include those of directors, music directors, musicians, lighting, costume designers and others are encouraged as well.
