Isis Theatre Company is pleased to announce its first Playwrights Festival to be held July 5th & 6th, 2008m,  in the beautiful mountain community of Idyllwild in Southern California.

The winning play will be produced as a main stage production in our 2009 season. No monetary compensation will be provided.

A panel of five judges will select four plays as finalists, which will be presented in staged readings during our festival. The audience will have the opportunity to fill out questionnaires provided by the judging committee to offer feedback to the playwright.  This will be solely for the use of the  playwright and will not be part of the determination of the finalist.

Submissions: Must be submitted by May 1st.  Applicants will be notified by mail on or before June 1st.

Participants please send:

• A brief synopsis of the play
• Character breakdown.
• Cover letter with Playwright Statement
• Draft of the play - Full length unpublished drama or comedy, typewritten, no less than 12pt. font. Length should not exceed more than 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission. Plays will not be returned.
• Resume/Bio with phone number, address and email address.
• $10.00 non-refundable application processing fee payable by a check made out to ISIS THEATRE COMPANY.
• Please include a stamped, letter size addressed envelope.
