Footlighters’ Theater Workshop Series

Redlands’ Footlighters Theater will begin their 2008 Spring/Summer line-up of Theater Workshops on Saturday, February 2.

Acting 101: Theater For Beginners, taught by Buffy Guzenski, starts Feb 2nd and runs four consecutive Saturdays, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Fees are $40 for Footlighters Members, $60 for non-members. Pre-registration is required, tuition payable at the first class.

LifeHouse Theater announces the return of its award-winning original musical comedy production of Snow White.”  Based on the classic fairy tale by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, this fun family fantasy will be presented for five weekends as part of LifeHouse Theater’s continuing fourteenth season.

Performances begin Saturday, January 12, 2008, at 7:30 PM and will continue on weekends through February 10, 2008.  Performances are Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:15 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:15 PM.  In addition to the weekend performances, a special Thursday performances will take place on February 7, at 7:30 PM. 

The performance on Saturday, January 26 at 7:30 PM will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf.

Chino Community Theatre opens its 24th season with Neil Simon’s beloved comedy, Barefoot in the Park, directed by Christopher Diehl.

Performances run February 1 – 23, 2008, on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm.  There will be two Sunday matinees on February 10 & 17 at 2:30 pm.

Ticket prices are $15 for general admission and $12 for seniors, and students with proper ID.

 Performance Riverside presents the Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II masterpiece The King and I February 1 through 10, 2008, at Landis Performing Arts Center. The production is directed by John Vaughan, choreographed by Lee Martino and musically directed by Scott Smith. The production features Jeff Griggs in the role the King and Barbara Hinrichsen as Anna Leonowens.

The King and I performs February 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 8pm, and February 2, 3, 9, and 10 at 2pm at Landis Performing Arts Center on the Riverside City College Campus. Tickets are $24, $29, $36, and $42. Fontana Mummers are Singing for a Cause

The Fontana Mummers will be raising their voices in song to help support one of their own and past board member.
 
Jeff Millet was diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer in November 2007 and has been battling the disease despite the odds.  The concert is being held to raise funds to pay for Jeff’s cancer treatment.

The event is scheduled for 7:00 pm on January 27, 2008, at the Fontana High School Auditorium.

Each in their own way is suffering through an empty marriage and faces the prospect of a lonely and almost isolated middle age. After seeing a newspaper ad for a villa for rent on the Italian Riviera, the women set about finding two other ladies to share expenses. Joined by a beautiful young socialite and an elderly dowager, the four find rejuvenation in the tranquil beauty of their surroundings.

A honeymoon trip up the Nile on a paddle steamer turns deadly for wealthy newlywed, Simon and Kay.
