The Redlands Regional Players, a theatre troupe dedicated to making classic texts more accessible to contemporary audiences, is currently in search of the right actress to portray Ophelia for their March 2008 production of Hamlet at the Performance Loft in Redlands. The production will be co-directed by founders Darcie Flansburg and Yvonne Flack, with original music written and performed by Sean Longstreet.

The production will feature an Ophelia in the age range of 18 to 25 with a gothic twist. The right actress should appear to be in her 20s, be able to sing, and be willing to change (hair length, color, etc.) to fit a more gothic look. Auditions for all other roles will be held in the Glenn Wallichs Theatre at the University of Redlands on Friday January 11, 2008 from 6 pm to 10 pm and Saturday January 12, 2008 from 12 pm to 4 pm.
