The Redlands Regional Players, a theatre troupe dedicated to making classic texts more accessible to contemporary audiences, is currently in search of the right actor to portray Hamlet for their March 2008 production at the Performance Loft in Redlands. The production will be co-directed by founders Darcie Flansburg and Yvonne Flack, with original music written and performed by Sean Longstreet.

The production will feature a Hamlet in his 20s with a “scene” or “emo” twist. The right actor should appear to be in his 20s, be able to sing, and be able to fit, or willing to change (hair length, color, etc.) to fit the “scene” look. Auditions for all other roles will be held in the Glenn Wallichs Theatre at the University of Redlands on Friday January 11, 2008 from 6 pm to 10 pm and Saturday January 12, 2008 from 12 pm to 4 pm.
