Riverside Community Players Seeks Applicants for Directors and Technical Directors
Riverside Community Players, one of the oldest continuously active community theatre groups in the United States, has announced its line-up for its 83rd season, and the organization is currently accepting applications for the position of director and technical director for the following productions. Experience with theatre-in-the round is a plus, but not required.

- London Suite a comedy by Neil Simon (3M/3F)

America’s premier comic playwright set this “suite” of hilarious comedies in a deluxe hotel in London. But once his outrageous characters check in, the sedate atmosphere quickly whirls into a frenzied one. - A Bench in the Sun a comedy by Ron Clark (2M/1F)

This wise, moving and very funny play focuses on Harold and Burt, longtime friends who bicker about everything, including the once-famous actress who just moved into their retirement home. When they discover that the home is going to be sold, the three senior citizens join forces to try to throw a monkey wrench into the deal. - The Subject Was Roses a drama by Frank D. Gilroy (2M/1F)

This Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, and winner of the New York Drama Critics Award for Best Play, looks at a pampered boy who goes off to war and comes back a man, and the devastating effect that his absence and return have on his parents. - Murder on the Nile a murder mystery by Agatha Christie (8M/5F)

Set on a paddle steamer cruising down the Nile, Simon and Kay, a couple on their honeymoon, board the ship trying to steal a moment alone, but they cannot escape from Simon’s former lover Jacqueline who has been dogging their every step. During the voyage there are two shootings, one an assault that could be considered a crime of passion, but the other is a cold-blooded murder. - Something in the Air a dark comedy by Richard Dresser (3M/2F)

This scathingly hilarious dark comedy tells the story of Walker, a man who has hit rock bottom and is convinced to buy the life insurance policy of a dying man as a sure-fire investment.
