Master Voice Class hosted by Riverside Youth Theatre
Musical theatre students will sing and receive coaching from Tammy Flanders during a voice master class on Friday, April 13. The event is scheduled from 3:00-6:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church, Back Building, 3624 Arlington Avenue, Riverside and hosted by Riverside Youth Theatre.
Reservations are required to attend the Master Voice Class. Student registration fee is $20 and is open to the students from 8-20 years. Students will be asked to prepare and present one memorized song. Each participant should do some vocal warm-ups before the class. Please dress for freedom of motion. An accompanist will be provided.
“The master class format is an interactive experience for both the students and the audience,” said Debbie Wolgemuth, Artistic Director of Riverside Youth Theatre. “It gives emerging artists the tools for singing theatre repertoire while preserving the voice. The workshop will review breath management, posture, tone and much more with each student. This will be a great event for everyone who loves singing!”
Tammy Flanders has been teaching voice for 35 years. She holds a degree in Vocal Performance from Biola University and three years of Masters Degree study at California State University Fullerton. Mrs. Flanders is a member of the Music Teachers Association and teaches sixty-five private students in the Inland Empire.
