Written by four-time Tony® winner Terrence McNally, directed by Tony® nominee Graciela Daniele, THE DANCER’S LIFE charts Chita’s amazing journey from aspiring ballerina to Broadway legend.

In story and song, she relives fascinating moments from the years she spent working with such greats as Bernstein, Fosse and Sondheim. And she performs knockout numbers from some of her biggest hits, including West Side Story, Chicago, Bye Bye Birdie and Kiss of the Spider Woman.

FOR A WONDERFUL TIME, SEE WONDERFUL TOWN!
February 17 – 18, 2007

The city lights. The humming traffic. The bustling crowds. There’s nothing like the first time you land in New York City. Experience that rush all over again at WONDERFUL TOWN, a thrilling new production of one of our most adored musicals.

WONDERFUL TOWN is a bright and energetic musical based on the book written by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov and orchestrated by Leonard Bernstein, “Wonderful Town” follows the lives of the Sherwood sisters as they venture from their quiet upbringings of Ohio to bohemian Greenwich Village in the 1930s. Ruth, an aspiring writer, and her younger sister Eileen, a blossoming actress, strive to pursue their ambitions with the help of some colorful characters they meet in the boisterous bustling of the Big Apple. While adjusting to the unfamiliar surroundings and trying desperately to make their dreams come true, the two women face lessons of life and love through their wacky adventures.

With a dazzling score by Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden and Adolph Green (featuring such songs as “Ohio” and “A Little Bit In Love”) and a glorious book by Joseph Fields and Jerome Chodorov, the show is a fast and funny big-city adventure….and a glorious celebration of a WONDERFUL TOWN.
