Riverside Youth Theatre announces auditions for musical revue

Riverside Youth Theatre will hold auditions September 11 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM for Broadway Meets the Movies, a A musical revue of classic and current movie music created by Debbie Wolgemuth.

Students will sing and dance to over 30 songs from classic and current movies, including A Chorus Line, Austin Powers, Grease, Pippin, Monty Python, RENT, Shrek, Sister Act, The Blues Brothers, The Muppet Movie, The Wiz, West Side Story and many more!
 
Auditions will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church’s Back Building located at 3624 Arlington Avenue in Riverside.
 
Be prepared to sing 32 measures from a Broadway song.  No a capella singing.  It is your responsibility to provide sheet music or karoake track.  A pianist and boombox will be provided by Riverside Youth Theatre.
 
Casting:

  • Elementary Division * 50 Students from 1st-6th grades
  • Teen Division * 50 Students from 7th grade and up
  • Selected Riverside Youth Theatre alumni will also be performing 

Rehearsals:
Monday and Wednesday * 4:00-6:00 PM * Beginning September 18 through January 17

January 26-28, 2007 * The Wallace Theatre, California Baptist University
