Murrieta Repertory Theatre announces auditions for The Weir

Auditions for Conor McPherson’s The Weir. Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, August 26, at  3 pm.  The play is set in a rural part of Ireland, northwest Leitrim or Sligo. Actors must be able to maintain a realistic Irish accent. 

The roles are: 

  • Jack, a man in his fifties 
  • Finbar, a man in his late forties 
  • Jim, a man in his forties 
  • Brendan, a man in his thirties 
  • Valerie, a woman in her thirties

Be prepared to present a 2-3 minute, emotionally compelling, narrative monologue, followed by readings from the play (solo, pairs, and groups). Familiarity with the play is preferred, but not required.

Performances will be October 14-29: Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
