Will frolicking love lead to comedy or tragedy? By picking the night… you decide. The Fictitious Theatre Company (FTC) proudly presents its second season with fresh takes on two of our favorite plays from the immortal bard: Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream July 26-August 13, 2006. This year FTC has teamed with Cal State’s student theatre organization and is performing in CSUSB’s Ronald E. Barnes Theatre. Come watch as young love turns out well or not so well. Midsummer director, Rob Foley sets the play in the New York of the roaring twenties where flappers, suffragettes and even fairies abound amidst the sounds of ragtime. Meanwhile, director Nate Gross has Romeo and Juliet meet each other in an anachronistic world of the past that may or may not have ever existed. This sexy take on Romeo and Juliet will leave your heart pounding and your mind wondering what might have been had these two rival families found peace.
