CAT OF Corona’s Summer Theater Festival Opening Soon
Christian Arts and Theater of Corona, is excited to announce its third annual Summer Theater Festival. Setting the standard of excellence in the Inland Empire, CAT has an exciting lineup of shows to offer, featuring some of the best talent the area has to offer. The festival will be offered in repertory, meaning patrons will be able to attend all shows in a single weekend. The festival starts on July 20th and continues through August 6th, 2006.
Shows include: Into the Woods, directed by T. Joel Fairley; William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Marilyn Griffin; Brigadoon, directed by Dan Monroe; and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, directed by Vicky Irvine. This lineup is designed to attract all ages and provide families with an enjoyable community theater experience, unique to Corona and the Inland Empire.
CAT Corona is headed by Cyndi Monroe, who said, “Just as the Inland Empire has become the destination for families seeking an improved quality of life, CAT of Corona is creating the standard in an unforgettable theater festival.” She continued, “We are excited about something new we are adding this year called the ‘talk back’ session. Following each of the Thursday night performances, audience members will be invited to stay for a ‘Q&A’ with the director and selected cast members. This will be a perfect opportunity for aspiring actors and directors, teachers and theater patrons to learn the ‘ins and outs’ of theater production.” All performances will take place at Corona’s own Historic Civic Theater.
Ticket reservations can be made by calling 951.279.2298 and group rates are available. CAT Corona is a non-profit organization proudly serving families with an excellent theater experience for eight years.
