Yucaipa Little Theatre presents Kiss Me Kate May 25 - June 4, 2006.

Ever wanted to see Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew” in comedy? Then make a date with YLT this weekend. Vanessi/Katherine, played by Heather Munoz, hates men, but has to marry first since she is older than Lois/Bianca, played by Celina Gonzalez. All the men in the village love the fair Bianca, but everyone is afraid of Katherine, until Fred/Petruchio, played by Clay Presley finds out that he can become a wealthy man by marrying Katherine, or “plain Kate” as he likes to call her. During the show there are some gambling problems brought on by Bill/Lucentio, played by Megual Gonzalez and two “thugs”, played by Amanda Presley and Stacy Endres, come down to the theatre to make sure all goes well so their boss gets the money owed to him.

This show within a show that has great Shakespeare scenes along with wonderful songs and dances. Opening night is Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 7:30 pm, with additional evening performances Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 and matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30, thru June 4, 2006.
