Life in the Happy Hollow General Store has been fairly reg’lar-like. Gram and Cindy Lou are not too busy helpin’ their best customers, Cousin Clem is trying to hunt somethin’ other than roadkill, and Bubba is missin’ again. Things get a might excitin’, though, when Cousin Chickory calls all the way from Hollywood, Californy to announce his wife and daughter’s visit. Plus, mean ole Miss Lennox over to the orphanage just won’t leave poor li’l Allen alone.
Hollywood Cousin Josephine, and her daughter Charlotte arrive in Happy Hollow, but can’t wait to leave. They really begin to worry when other folks from Hollywood show up. Larry and Isabelle are charmed by the locale, and want to use it for their big movie! They’re fixin’ to shoot their film before the new highway closes down the town. Meanwhile, Sheriff Tom is on the lookout for the pair of strangers that just robbed the bank over to Ditch City!
Petty hustlers, Foxhall and Lucy arrive at the General Store just as the highway engineers, Rachel and Opal, announce a major discovery. Seems that Gram Hawley’s ole swamp is full of natural gas, worth millions and millions! Sly Foxhall and Lucy plot to trick Gram out of her property before she learns what it’s really worth. Sheriff Tom decides he better check up on Larry and Isabelle’s story. Could they be the crooks from the Ditch City bank heist?
Charlotte’s sorority sister, Finlandia, arrives at Happy Hollow. It is definitely not the chic resort she thought it would be. Will Finlandia reveal the Seabury’s unsavory family background, thus ruining Charlotte’s chance to be her sorority’s president, or will she succumb to Bubba’s efforts to become her “Boyfriend from the Mountains”.
