AUDITIONS: Busybody at Redlands Footlighters

Redlands Footlighters will hold auditions for Busybody, written by Jack Popplewell, March 13 and 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the theater.  Busybody will be directed by Denise Morgan.

Redland Footlighters is located at 1810 Barton Road in Redlands.

Synopsis – This campy, delightful British murder mystery begins with a body, loses the body, finds a body and much, much more. British dialects (of all kinds) a MUST! Ages are approximate, but the “look” of the age is more important than the actual age of those who audition.

Mrs. Lily Piper – female, 40′s or older: chatty, nosey, kindly cleaning lady of a prestigious development company. She can be Cockney, East-ender – drops her h’s.

Richard Marshall – male, 40′s or older: Good looking, ruthless, successful business man. Actor must be able to exude charm as well as a disdain for people in general.

Detective Constable Jeremy Goddard – male, late 20′s. Congenial, pleasant looking, professional.

Detective Superintendent Baxter – male, 40′s or older: has a severe head-cold, blustery, yells a lot, came from the same neighborhood as Mrs. Piper but has become more refined in speech.

Claire Marshall – female, 30′s: Beautiful, elegant, refined wife of the boss, Mr. Marshall.

Marian Selby – female, mid-30′s: efficient secretary, besotted with the boss, Mr. Marshall. Jealous of Claire and any other woman who is close to the boss.

Robert Westerby – male, early 30′s: Tall, handsome, nervous type. Accountant for the company.

Vickie Reynolds – female, early 20′s: Giggly, takes nothing seriously. She is the typist for Mr. Marshall.
